For Tescan, a global developer of top-quality electron microscopes, we launched a completely widget-based website in 2016. This concept enables the client to use widget functionalities to create the pages it needs. As part of the assignment, the already designed website had to be cloned for other purposes of the company, such as a career website, separate language versions and presentations of called tenders. Therefore, we designed the look and functions of the widgets to be as universal as possible so they could be used across the cloned websites. Thanks to having its administrators and development decision-makers involved from the start, among other options the client can even change the colours of individual widgets, which is rather uncommon.
